The CACE-ACACE mentorship program supports members who are new to the education sector by pairing them with experienced communicators in education. The mentorship program creates mutually beneficial relationships amongst members whereby members exchange knowledge about the profession and, ultimately, aid one another in enhancing their careers. Roughly 75 per cent of CACE members have more than seven years of experience; there is a depth and breadth of knowledge within the CACE membership that can be shared with members who are newer to education communications.

About the Program

The CACE-ACACE mentorship program provides traditional, formal mentorship between novice and experienced members. Members are paired for an eight-month period. Regular meetings can be on the phone, online or in-person (if possible). Guidance is provided to participants to support professional growth for both mentees and mentors.

Program Timeline

  • September: Online registration for both mentees and mentors.
  • October: Mentees and mentors are matched, introduced, and provided support guidance.
  • November – June: Formal eight-month program. Mentorship pairs meet monthly.


Registration will open in September 2021 for the 2021-2022 school year mentorship program.
